I believe stories save lives. And I’m on a mission to share them—whether they’re my own or yours.

That belief has guided everything I’ve done: producing award-winning films for platforms like Hulu, Netflix, and iTunes; writing my bestselling book Aggressive Optimism; being invited to speak on stages all over the world; and now consulting with creative business owners who are ready to turn their boldest ideas into reality.

Because here’s the truth: big dreams don’t belong in notebooks. They belong in the world.

My role in the world isn’t to tell you what to do—it’s to introduce you to new ways of looking at the challenges in front of you, and new possibilities for bringing your boldest dreams to life. Sometimes that happens through the stories I write, the conversations I share on stage or in a podcast, or the ideas I explore in community. And if we work together one-on-one, my role is to step in as your thought partner and strategist—helping you create clarity, systems, and momentum that fit you.

From Minnesota to Hollywood

I grew up in a small town in Minnesota with big, audacious dreams—dreams that often felt too bold for where I came from. But I chased them anyway, and they led me to Los Angeles, where I spent years working in film and television production.

On those sets, I learned how to take massive, messy, “this might be impossible” ideas and actually make them happen—on time, under budget, and without losing the heart of the story. That’s where I discovered my superpower: bringing calm to chaos and turning bold dreams into real, tangible outcomes.

Speaking Around the World

As my career grew, I started speaking on stages across the world—sharing what producing taught me about vision, resilience, and the power of story. Every time I spoke, I was reminded of the same truth: stories don’t just inspire us, they can change the way we see the world. Sometimes, they even save lives.

Writing My Story

That belief eventually found its way into my own book, Aggressive Optimism—a story that’s part memoir, part manifesto, and all heart. It’s my way of putting into words what I’ve always known: persistence and possibility can carry you through anything.
